The format
Extended matching and single best answer questions, computer based
ORE Part 1 questions present a short clinical vignette, a question and five options. One option is the single best answer, and the others are plausible but weaker, wrong under UK guidance or wrong on the facts.
The format tests application rather than recall. Each explanation in the platform states the rule, cites the UK guideline, applies it to the patient and names the reason the closest wrong option fails.
